Plan changes

Murfy offers three paid plans designed for individuals and organizations, along with a free plan. Below is a brief overview of each plan and answers to frequently asked questions.

  • Starter plan

    • Designed for users who want to start writing academic papers quickly and easily.

  • Pro plan

    • Ideal for users who require fast LaTeX compilation speeds to enhance productivity. This plan also includes advanced features to support professional writing workflows.

  • Enterprise plan

    • Built for organizations that want to adopt Murfy as a standard tool. This plan is suitable for teams that need member management, activity analytics via dashboards, and centralized administration.

    • The Enterprise Plan is available upon request. Please contact us through the Enterprise Inquiry form to subscribe.

Follow these steps to upgrade or downgrade your current plan:

  1. In the Murfy dashboard, click your profile picture in the top right corner.

  2. Select Subscription.

  3. In the subscription menu, click Manage subscription.

  4. Under Plan management, click the Change subscription button next to “Upcoming plan”.

  5. Select your desired plan and confirm.

  6. Read the plan change notice carefully, then click Confirm.

  7. A confirmation message will appear once your plan change is complete.

  8. If you experienced any inconvenience or feel the plan is missing something, we welcome your feedback to help us improve.

  9. You can view your updated upcoming plan, billing cycle, and next payment scheduled in the subscription management section.

  1. In the Murfy dashboard, click your profile picture in the top right corner.

  2. Select Subscription.

  3. In the subscription menu, click Manage subscription.

  4. Upcoming plan, click Change subscription.

  5. First, switch to the Starter plan.

  6. Send a refund request email to Murfy Support (admin@murfy.ai) using the email address linked to your Murfy account. Please include the subject or note: “Refund Request due to Enterprise Plan Upgrade” for faster processing.

  7. Once your current plan has been changed to the Starter plan, you will be able to subscribe to the Enterprise plan.

How is the Starter plan different from the Pro plan?

The Pro plan offers faster compilation speeds and includes additional features such as full version history.

Can I use Murfy for free?

Absolutely! The Starter plan is completely free for all users.

It includes a wide range of features to help you write a full academic paper—such as unlimited projects and unlimited collaborators.

Are there monthly and annual billing options?

Yes! The Pro plan offers both monthly and annual billing options.

By choosing the annual billing, you can save 25% compared to the monthly plan.

When does the new plan take effect after changing it?

You can continue using your current plan until the next billing date.

The newly selected plan will become active on the billing date, only if the payment is successfully processed.

How do I cancel a paid plan?

Murfy’s monthly and annual plans are automatically renewed unless you switch to the Starter plan before the next billing cycle.

To cancel your subscription:

  • Go to the Murfy dashboard

  • Click your profile picture in the top right corner

  • Select Subscription management

  • Click Change subscription and switch to the Starter plan

Even after canceling, you’ll continue to have access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.

What happens if a payment fails (e.g., due to an expired credit card)?

If a payment fails, a notification email will be sent to your account’s registered email address.

Murfy attempts the payment at 9:00 AM on the billing date.

If the payment fails, a second attempt will be made at 3:00 PM on the same day.

If the payment still fails, your plan will be automatically downgraded to the Starter plan at midnight on the billing date.

Can I change my payment method?

Yes! You can update your payment method directly within Murfy.

Please note that only Korean domestic credit cards are supported at this time.

To change your payment method, go to:

Dashboard > Profile picture (top right) > Subscription management.

How are payments processed?

Murfy uses Toss Payments to handle all payment transactions.

Murfy does not store or process your credit card information directly.
